ISEK Plans to Open Pilot Fabrication Plant for Health Industry in Early 2017
The Health Industry Cluster of Istanbul (ISEK), plans to start activities in early 2017 at its modular pilot fabrication plant focused on medical devices and intended for young entrepreneurs ready to enter the production phase. The plant’s infrastructure was set up as part of the R&D and Innovation Capacity Building of the Istanbul Health Industry Project, which is supported by the Istanbul Development Agency.
The plant is located within Technopark Istanbul, in line with a protocol signed between project manager Boğaziçi University Center for Life Sciences and Technologies and Technopark Istanbul. It is made up of 4 separate modular clean rooms of 20 squaremeters each and meeting ISO 13485 and Good Manufacturing Process (GMP) standards which entrepreneurs must comply with in order to launch new products.
